On 8 September 1966, *Star Trek* made its debut on US television screens. Thus began a journey destined to change the way we imagine the future forever. • 3.00–3.30 pm: introduction and presentation by the co-directors of MUFANT, Silvia Casolari and Davide Monopoli, who will explain the significance and importance of Star Trek within the museum’s cultural programme and as part of the permanent exhibition • 3.30–4.00 pm: Star Trek 1966: A beginning between science fiction and the race to the moon, a discussion between Stefanie Gröner, curator of the exhibition hall, and Antonio Lo Campo, a science journalist and writer specialising in the aerospace sector, who contributes to *La Stampa*, *Avvenire* and various specialist publications. • 4.00–4.30 pm: Star Trek: Alien Flowers and Plants. Stefanie Gröner will take the audience on a journey through the flora of the alien worlds explored by the Enterprise and other Starfleet crews over the sixty-year history of the saga. The talk will draw a connection between the botanical imagery of Star Trek and the Fantabotanical Garden created on the MUFANT rooftop, where real plants and imaginary vegetation interact within an exhibition dedicated to the relationship between nature and the fantastical • 5.00–5.45 pm: Of Love and Honour, screening and presentation of the first Star Trek fan film made in Italy
