The Concert of Traditional Music from the East and West, presented by the Sukun Ensemble, opens the series of events entitled Wednesdays of islamic wisdom: The pursuit of happiness. Farah Le Signor on the harp, Abd Al-Rahman Gastou on the clarinet, and Abu Bakr Moretta on the violin form a trio of professional musicians who, for around 20 years, have dedicated themselves to the historical and geographical exploration of significant pieces from various traditions, skilfully adapting them to the instruments of our musical culture as a sign of the possibility of genuine intercultural dialogue, free from stylistic artifice and exoticism. On this opening night, the ensemble will welcome a fourth musician and composer, Corrado Trabuio, as guest of honour; in addition to performing in the concert, he will introduce the evening and the institutional guests.
