Born in 2020 as a gathering of friends, in just a few years the VOCF has become one of the key events for the Italian and international climbing community. In 2026, the VOCF is moving to a new venue: the new festival site will be larger and more versatile, allowing for improvements in the quality and functionality of the facilities. The aim remains the same: to promote a culture of mountain awareness and respect for the environment, whilst showcasing the Orco Valley through climbing, outdoor activities and responsible sports tourism. This year’s theme is Pirates. Among the events on the programme:
- a bouldering competition on new boulders specially cleaned and prepared for the occasion
- FASI promotional competition on an artificial wall, with qualifying rounds and finals
- workshops and talks with international athletes focusing on sporting performance, trad climbing, crack climbing techniques, sports psychology and climbing
- ethics outdoor and educational activities including yoga, trail running, eco-trekking, photography and videography, as well as workshops with mountain guides covering various aspects of mountain exploration
- cultural and musical events featuring talks, screenings, satirical shows, concerts and DJ sets
- activities for families and children with creative workshops and dedicated games

In 2026, the festival will continue to work towards encouraging more sustainable forms of transport and promoting reflection on the relationship between outdoor activities, the local area and climate change.
