Two events in Avigliana organised by the Vita e Pace Association. The first event is scheduled for Sunday 2 with a concert by Edoardo Arrowood – one of the most prominent performers, songwriters, producers and sound engineers on the Turin rock scene – who will present an intimate show, accompanying himself on guitar and piano, taking the audience on a journey through songs and stories that span over twenty years of music. One of the most eagerly anticipated moments will be a moving duet with his mother, a 90-year-old concert pianist and theatre actress who is still performing today. The event will continue on Sunday 9 with a full day dedicated to Bertha von Suttner, the first woman to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. The programme will feature talks, book presentations, personal accounts, music and performances, with contributions from, amongst others, Lavinia Pizzo, Luca Molinero, Roberta Masinari, Enrico Vigna, Cristina Riffero, Luisa Morandi, Fabrizio Sandretto, Ennio Baronetto, Rosanna Galleggiante and Mauro Cavagliato, as well as musical performances by Almendra Torres Amat, Simone Costante, Joele Alberto and young musicians. Two events which, through music, culture and dialogue, aim to provide opportunities for reflection and sharing, whilst promoting a genuine culture of non-violence and solidarity.
