Pasto is a contemporary circus show that blends tradition and research, inspired by the landscapes and culture of Trás-os-Montes. At its core lies the relationship between a solitary shepherd, his flock, and an enigmatic presence: his "shadow," an acrobat who reflects his most intimate and symbolic dimension. Through a language that intertwines everyday gestures and acrobatic writing, the performance creates a dialogue between the concreteness of rural life and the lightness of the circus. The figure of the acrobat redefines the archetype of the shepherd, suspended between earth and air. The minimalist stage is composed of logs and stones - elements that evoke time, memory, and transformation -while the flock, whether real or suggested, recalls a sense of community and interdependence.
