Queen Margherita’s Royal Train, the re-enactors in the Royal Apartments and the themed tours dedicated to the sovereign transform Stupinigi into a journey back to the early 20th century. On Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st June, the Palazzina di Caccia is dedicating a weekend of events to Italy’s first and only queen, weaving together history, culture and remembrance in honour of the bond that linked her to the residence. The event forms part of the programme of celebrations marking the centenary of the death of Margherita of Savoy and coincides with the anniversary of her arrival at Stupinigi in June 1901. This anniversary offers an opportunity to bring back into the spotlight a figure deeply connected to the Palazzina, where she stayed for a long time and which she helped transform into one of her most beloved residences.
