A thoroughly enjoyable guided walk that winds almost entirely along two scenic hill ridges, amongst the valleys of the Santena, Canarone and Baldissero streams. Setting off from Airali, the route passes by the beautiful farmhouses of Tetti Venè and takes in a number of votive pillars; it then reaches a well and an old farmhouse in the centre of the hamlet of Canarone. The route continues until it reaches the ridge, from where you can admire splendid villas and farmhouses on the hill opposite; it then descends towards the Tetti Grondana experimental farm and subsequently towards Tetti Quaglino. You reach the ridge, which offers a beautiful view of the church of San Pietro di Airali; continue on to Tetti Valentino and, following the ancient Strada del Bleu, admire the castles of Pavarolo and Montaldo. You then reach the starting point, where you can sample local produce. Length 8 km, elevation gain 150 m, walking time 2h30 excluding stops. We recommend seasonal hiking clothing and footwear with non-slip soles.
