An evening paying tribute to the art of Ennio Morricone, one of the most influential and beloved composers in the history of cinema, whose melodies have left an indelible mark on the collective memory, transcending eras, genres and generations. With a solid classical background, he was able to combine compositional rigour with an extraordinary ability to communicate, breaking down the boundaries between classical and popular music and redefining the role of the soundtrack in the language of cinema. His international career began with the revolutionary scores he wrote for Italian Westerns, culminating in his rise to the pinnacle of Hollywood cinema. Morricone’s masterpieces will be performed by the La Corelli Orchestra, led by artistic and musical director Jacopo Rivani. Alongside the musicians, the voice of Cecilia Ottaviani will bring to life the intensity of the Maestro’s most famous vocal pieces, retracing the highlights of an extraordinary career crowned by two Oscars and a Golden Globe.
