The city’s most important summer comedy festival is back, with seventeen events in June and July. New faces include Roberto Lipari, Autogol and Andrea Perroni, whilst the event for younger audiences is the engaging ‘The Bee Maya: The Musical’; meanwhile, there’s a chance to enjoy classic one-man-show comedy with Max Pisu. Making their debut on the Parco Dora Live stage are two internet sensations, Casa Abis and Daniele Condotta, whilst the final week is graced by two theatrical productions that have been selling out across Italy for years: Oblivion and Uccio De Santis. There is a strong focus on local talent with four unmissable events: Marco and Mauro, Davide D’Urso, Cab 41 Show (featuring Beppe Braida, Gianpiero Perone, Mauro Villata, Diego Casale, Dario D’Angiolillo and Senso d’Oppio) and Stand-Up Comedy (featuring Federica Ferrero, Cristiana Maffucci and Elena Ascione). A special event, with free admission upon booking, featuring the Bosconerese Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Giorgio Bolognese, with special guest Luca Bono. The icing on the cake: Vincenzo Schettini. In a comedy world where women are few and far between, the festival’s artistic directors have chosen to honour and showcase two true sources of laughter: Chiara Anicito, alias Cammela, and Barbara Foria.
