The exhibition presents large-format images from various public collections in the city, starting with the historic Veduta della Gran Madre di Dio (View of the Great Mother of God) taken on 8 October 1839 by Enrico Jest, one of the pioneers of photography in Italy, and continuing to the present day, intertwining the history of photography, the city and its collections.
