Ivrea hosts the 2026 ECA Canoe Slalom European Championship. The competition will take place from September 24th to 26th, showing the best athletes from all over Europe racing for the title. The Opening Ceremony on September 23rd will inaugurate the event. There will be Canoe and Kayak Slalom individual and team races, in addition to the Kayak Cross competition. The program includes qualifications, semi-finals and finals for Slalom events, and the four-athlete Kayak Cross matches. Thanks to the canal lighting, the final phases of the Kayak Cross competition will be held at night, making for an extraordinary sports show to conclude the event. This event represents a great sports meet, but also an opportunity for cultural exchange, which will certainly allow athletes, staff and spectators to make the most of Ivrea and the Canavese district.
