Rigoletto is the first chapter of Giuseppe Verdi's “popular trilogy”: the opera focuses on a “loser”, a court jester, hunchbacked and deformed, whose fears, ambitions, antipathies and plans for revenge are recounted, along with the wounds of the heart that will lead him to cause the death of his beloved daughter Gilda.
