Orazio Gentileschi. Un pittore in viaggio

01/11/2025 - 07/04/2026

The exhibition is dedicated to Orazio Gentileschi, one of the most important Italian artists of the 17th century, who enjoyed established success with patrons, international collectors and rulers, coming to frequent leading artistic centres and Italian and foreign courts.   The common thread running through the exhibition is travel, placing the painter in dialogue with the figurative contexts and artists he encountered, with his patrons and with the demands of the market.    Over 40 masterpieces from the world's most prestigious museums, from the Louvre to the Prado to the Vatican Pinacoteca – some of which have never been exhibited in Italy before.
