Once again this year, Limone Piemonte proposes the interesting music festival "Note d'acqua", with four concerts dedicated to European music. Musicians perform on a moving raft on Lake Terrasole, at an altitude of 1,750 metres.
Sunday, 30 July, is the turn of the Hungarian group Cimbaliband, with performances of Eastern European folk music revisited in a modern key. Then, on Saturday, 5 August, the great interpreters of traditional Irish music, Birkin Tree, take the stage with Dubliner Mick O'Brien, one of the greatest players of the Uilleann pipes.
On 14 August, the festival features an eagerly awaited concert by the Occitan group Lou Dalfin. The closing concert is by the Bailam Orchestra, six Ligurian musicians appreciated the world over for their repertoire of Mediterranean music originating from Greece to Turkey. Admission to the concerts is free. They begin at 12 noon and the expected duration is about an hour and a half; in the event of bad weather, the venue will be changed to Teatro Alla Confraternita.
Lake Terrasole can be reached on foot from the centre of Limone Piemonte, taking a ride in the Severino Bottero cable car followed by a short walk which takes about twenty minutes. Otherwise, you can park at an altitude of 1400 metres, take the Cabanaira chairlift and continue for thirty minutes on foot.
