PASTICCERIA ROVIDA SIGNORELLI, DOVE E’ COMPARSA LA PRIMA MACCHINA DEL CAFFE’

Rovida Signorelli Pastry Shot at 23 piazza Garibaldi is one of the oldest establishments in Alessandria. It was established in 1886 by Fermo Signorelli on via Umberto I, the name of today's via Martiri: it is in this establishment that a coffee machine appears for the first time in Alessandria.

Fermo lived in the same building, on the upper floor. Subsequently, the operation was moved to via XXIV Maggio, opposite the Military Hospital. The construction of a building forces the move to Corso Roma. Here he would be forced to relocate again in 1962, as he was evicted to allocate the facility for Standa shop.

Among the most traditional desserts are baci di dama, which historically were made with a pastry shop in Tortona. The other highlight is the savories, which are truly unmatched. Historical pastry products also appeal to young people, thus demonstrating the ability to continue to win over one generation after another. With the move to piazza Garibaldi, it also returned to being a cafeteria as in its origins.
