A castle worthy of this name must at least be "inhabited" by a ghost. That of the White Lady wanders along with other spirits among the rooms of Manta.
According to the legend, a young noblewoman overlooked by her old husband spent her time accompanying some young people of the town. But the stubborn Lady annoyed by her current concubine used to get rid of her "inconvenient" boy by throwing him into the "knife shaft". But as we know the castles' rooms have indiscreet eyes and ears, and news of this intrigue reached her husband, who decided to punish his libertine wife. Vengeance for thus betrayal happened on a late spring day when the woman, who used to go to the river by carriage, was dragged into the cold waters. Her husband had previously ordered that the towed horses not drink for a few days. So when the animals came near the river, they hurled themselves into the river. The woman who drowned returns on rainy nights to live in her old dwelling, leaving a strong scent of jasmine in her path.
