One day, a young man in love with the girl and ignoring her secret came across his beloved who had assumed the animal appearance and locked her in a barn all night. But when the next morning he saw that the goat was gone and in its place, tied to the rope, there was the girl, disgusted, accused her of witchcraft.
This legend offers a clear opposition between the ancient traditions linked to the cult of the Mother Goddess, in which girls were in harmony with Nature, so much so that they could take on the appearance of other animals, and the advent of the Christian religion, which opposed those traditions.
