LA CHIESA PIU' COLORATA D'ITALIA

In the Langhe area, in the territory of the municipality of La Morra, a colourful church is hidden, truly unique in Italy.

Built in 1914 as a shelter for workers in the surrounding vineyards during storms or hailstorms, the Chapel SS. Madonna delle Grazie, better known today as the Barolo Chapel, was purchased by the Ceretto family in 1970 along with the 6 hectares of the prestigious Brunate vineyard.

The church, which was never consecrated, still stands today in this vineyard in La Morra and is still owned by the Ceretto family, which decided to renovate it in the late 1990s, entrusting the work to artists Sol LeWitt and David Tremlett.

So, it is one of the most colourful, known and admired buildings in the area.
