Not only has Piedmont the record of castles - there are a hundred of them - but it is also the land of villages. In fact, 14 of the most beautiful villages of Italy are located right in our region.
They are scattered across the territory. In the province of Alessandria there are 3, Cella Monte, Garbagna and Volpedo; in the province of Asti 2, Mombaldone and Cocconato; and in the province of Biella only one, Ricetto di Candelo.
In the province of Cuneo there are Chianale, Garessio, Neive, Monforte d'Alba and Ostana, in the province of Novara, Orta San Giulio and in the province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola there is Vogogna. In the province of Turin there is only one: Usseaux.
