SANTUARIO DI SANTA LUCIA

The whole complex, situated at 610 metres of altitude on the side of the Monte Calvario, is divided in three parts: the cave-Sanctuary dating from the 15th century, a building dating from the early 16th century called “l’Ospizio” and the part called “Opera Pia Bernardi” built in the 19th century. The water springing in the cave is collected in a purpose-built well and is worshipped by the faithful. The Santuario di Santa Lucia can be visited from April to October from 9 to 18. The town council is promoting a restoration project for the paths linking the Santuario di Santa Lucia with Monte Calvario and with Grotta dei Dossi.
