CHIESA DI SAN LORENZO

The oldest parts of this church belong to the main phase of Romanesque architecture, between the 12th and 13th centuries, but the church was heavily restored especially during the 17th century, when an imposing bell tower was also added. The most interesting aspects include, besides the outdoor section of the brick apsis marked by small limestone columns, with little shelves representing faces; inside, the capitals, with decorations representing faces, geometrical shapes, threaded ribbons, and allegorical human, animal or mythological figures.
