All the senses of taste: touch explores food through its textures, with a dinner in the dark at the ciabòt in Pomaretto. Afterwards, a walk through the moonlit vineyards will invite participants to engage all their senses, letting themselves be enveloped by the night-time natural surroundings. From the Waldensian Church in Pomaretto, the group will climb up to the ciabòt, once a shelter for those who cultivated the vines and now a charming venue for tastings and events. Here, Roberto will welcome participants for a truly extraordinary dinner: every course, as well as the water, wine and sauces, must be identified, served and savoured in total darkness. Liquid, solid, succulent, crumbly, creamy, grainy: textures will become valuable clues for navigating the dishes. Once dinner is over, the absolute darkness gives way to the moonlight. Without lamps or torches, nature guide Ilenia Quercia will lead participants through the rows of vines on an excursion designed to be suitable for everyone, to rediscover our connection with nature without artificial lighting: listening to the faint sounds emerging from the stillness, recognising the surroundings in the moonlight, feeling the ground beneath your feet, with its unevenness and surprises.
