The Mysterious Disappearance of W, written by Stefano Benni, returns to the stage for Ambra Angiolini’s directorial debut, which opens the eleventh edition of Borgate dal Vivo. A group soliloquy, as the director and performer describes it, tragicomic, funny and bitter, luminous and sombre, within the gigantic oxymoron that is everyone’s life. Ambra also analyses, with Benni’s literary virtuosity, the remnants of her past to be pieced back together, to rediscover what she is missing, to reclaim her piece V of W. W will once again become a whole woman, wonderfully non-conformist, solid within the cracks of fragility, who will have rebuilt her body and her humanity before everyone’s eyes, in a world that seems all too cynical and devoid of human ambition.
