Sentieri Tolkieniani is a fantasy festival organised in the evocative setting of the Macello Castle. Now in 14th edition, it has become one of Italia’s leading events dedicated to the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, fantasy culture and the imagery of Middle-earth: it brings together cultural outreach, entertainment, music, crafts, games and live performances in an immersive experience designed for audiences of all ages. The 2026 edition will take place over three days for the first time: Friday an evening opening focused on the outdoor areas, food and drink, craft stalls and concerts; Saturday and Sunday the full programme of talks, activities, shows and themed routes. Visitors will be able to enjoy three days of talks with Italian and international scholars and guests, folk and metal concerts, live performances, workshops, children’s activities, fantasy crafts, a games area with more than 30 tables run by gaming associations, historical groups, scenic installations and themed routes inspired by the places of Middle-earth.
