The tourist routes proposed in this section are the result of a project shared by both Regione Piemonte and Paralleli-Istituto Euro mediterraneo del Nord Ovest.
The itineraries are the result of specific work on the regional territory with the active participation of local communities, citizens and public entities as they are the main players involved in the national and international promotion of the area.
This is responsible tourism, implemented according to the principles of social and economic justice and in full compliance with the environment and culture. The centrality of the hosting local community and its right to be a protagonist in the development of sustainable and socially responsible tourism in its own area is placed in the foreground. Responsible tourism works by facilitating positive interaction between the tourism industry, local communities and visitors.
The travel itineraries proposed here have been designed not only as tourist moments, but also as “travel experience”, to seek the authenticity of the values of the local communities encountered along the routes to discover the most authentic heritage (both material and immaterial), dedicating an important space to the opportunity to meet and exchange with the local populations and, in this way, also contribute to the fair and widespread economic development of the area.
