Right from the 17th century, the town has owed its fame to the hot, sulphurous waters of its spa centre. In more recent times, Bagni di Vinadio has also become known for the ski touring excursions that can be experienced in the lateral gorges and its range of Nordic skiing facilities.
Bagnolo Piemonte Rucas
In an area where many of the famous stone quarries of Bagnolo are still operating, beyond the hamlet of Montoso in the Vallone dell’Infernotto, lies the ski resort of Rucas, a district which mainly targets families with children and less expert skiers.
The only resort dedicated to downhill skiing in the Stura Valley is in the small hamlet of Bersezio, once the site of a Benedictine priory and now a hamlet of Argentera.
Bielmonte is located at an altitude of 1500 metres, in the Oasi Zegna district, which stretches along the panoramic route between Trivero and Rosazza, in Valle Cervo.
