The Rocchetta Tanaro Nature Park
The protected area extends over the hills of Monferrato, which are naturally sandy and, therefore, subject to serious erosion. The woods are made up of various tree varieties, in particular, chestnut, black locust, and oak mixed with sessile oak, English oak, Turkey oak, and downy oak. The underbrush includes hazelnut, ivy, and honeysuckle.
