Having learnt the production secrets, Mauro Beretta purchased the old and unique Cassinelle bakery. Production expanded to include new products based on recipes of old ladies of the town, which were based on simple ingredients: flour, sugar, eggs, milk, butter, fresh and dried fruit and lard. Subsequently a contemporary pastry shop enriched with various flavours (aniseed, lemon, orange) was introduced alongside the traditional production, which still today constitute the warhorse of his bakery. The “anicini”, “ciocchini”, “limoncini” and “arancini” (aniseed, chocolate, lemon and orange) biscuits are on offer, produced with organic raw materials coming from farms in the region.
