Amat was established in Torino in 1957 and originated from the experience of Enzo Battezzzati, a musician skilled in the area of percussion instruments, who also worked in the city’s Teatro d’Opera and in various theatres throughout Italy. Manufacturing has always remained on an artisan level, taking care, down to the smallest detail, of the production of percussion instruments for orchestras, theatres, historical and folklore performances, thanks also to a close collaboration with famous artistes. The company is also involved in restoration activities, in relation to maintenance and upkeep and the restoration of damaged or missing parts.
