Teatro Gianduia
Teatro Gianduia

The tiny mini-theatre located in Santa Teresa hosts exclusively delicious puppet performances by the Lupi company, who, in the same rooms, also manages the Museo della Marionetta (Puppet Museum), one of the biggest in Italy. It contains, in the exhibition rooms annexed to the Teatro Gianduja, the belongings of the Lupi family – a famous dynasty of puppeteers, active in Torino for over two centuries. Going down for a visit in the underground rooms of the Chiesa di Santa Teresa which holds theatre and museum in an organic and functional complex, also reserves a special surprise, rich in emotion, marvel and poetry. Here, hundreds of puppets are exhibited, some of them dating back to 200 years ago, others more recent, created in the early 20th century. There are also courses for puppeteers, laboratories for schoolchildren, private parties, conferences and seminars.
