The old Cascinale dei Nobili, in the heart of Casalbeltrame is a microcosm in which nature, tradition, culture and memory blend together to bring a unique thematic museum to life which is dedicated to agricultural tools. Its intention is the ethnographic understanding of the territory and its peasant culture. “L’civel” is none other than dialect for the brake used on agricultural carts, a typical example of rural activity of yesteryear. The exhibit, hosted in the 17th-century farmhouse located in the southern part of the Novara province, is a tour through an entire work year in the middle of the fields of the agricultural civilization of our forefathers more than it is the traditional exposition of machinery, rudimentary ploughs or of the 20th century and horse pulled carts. An itinerary to be savoured as a multi-media and multi-sensory experience among sounds, images, video support, utensils used by the peasants and evocative settings.
