The museum, set up inside the seat of the Societa Generale fra gli Operai di Pinerolo (General Society Among Workers of Pinerolo), was the first mutual aid society created in Italy in October of 1848 after King Carlo Alberto’s repeal banning associations. The exhibit includes a collection of objects, among them a precious collection of embroidered and painted flags as well as documents from the archives of the old Societa dei Calzolai (Cobblers’ Association).
