The FIAT Archivio Storico (Historical Archive) is located in an Art Nouveau style building by Alfredo Premoli that was the 1907 architectural expansion for the garages on Corso Dante. Inside, documentation (administrative, financial, communication, technological and designing) pertaining to the industrial activity of Torino’s car maker as well as changes in Italian society unravel along the over 5,000 linear metres. The FIAT universe - through official stamped administrative papers, invoices, ledgers, an iconographic wealth of almost one million photographs, posters, films, videos and a library containing 3,000 books – comes back to life and is completed by its Centro Storico (Historic Centre) where engines, miniature models of airplanes, ships and a selection of the most representational automobiles manufactured by the company in over 80 years of history are all on display.
