Forte di Exilles - 10050 Exilles (To)

A museum in itself and a testament to the world that produced it; it is open for guided tours that take visitors not only to extremely striking places, but into sensations and emotions. There are two exhibits set up: one about the military mountain troops and the other one about the fortifications built in the Western Alps - created with impressive effects. The visitor is immersed in scenic-theatrical representations based on the six elements strongly linked to the mountains: rock, iron, ice, fog, snow, and nighttime. Six animated sculptural groupings of projected images bring the emotions of the heroes of the time, the action of war, the expressions on faces, and the anxieties and the memories to life.
The fortifications built in the Western Alps, on show in the Bastione del Diamonte, are illustrated in a dynamic way thanks to maps, drawings, sketches, a short film, and imagines in movement. Six visuals illustrate the Fort’s transformations through its own secular events.
