Civico Museo Sempioniano

Situated in the former sanctuary of the Rosminian sisters, it takes its name from the room entirely dedicated to the Simplon Pass, with the reconstruction of the tunnel and the sampling of the rocks carried out to mark the occasion of the creation of the Tunnel. Another room is dedicated to Geo Chavez, the first long-distance flyer of the Alps in 1910 and the 1895 Panhard car is exhibited in the external showcase, the carriage that last crossed the Simplon Pass, the sledge and the penny-farthing.
