Ecomuseo in the Biella area

The Environmental museum in the Biella area consists of fifteen museum sites and is part of the 25 environmental museums established by the Regione Piemonte. It goes over the history of the territory along the stages of development from a rural and crafts economy, to the birth and development of the textile industrial area that made Biella famous all over the world. From the mountains to the hills, all the way to the planes, the museum consists of a series of buildings, sites, and laboratories that document the traditional professions and craftsmanship: the production of walnut oil, the cultivation of hemp, vineyards and chestnut trees, iron working. The manufacturing techniques emerge again thanks to the museum's safeguard and involvement of the inhabitants.
