150th anniversary of the unity of Italy, the festivities begin
Torino, the first capital of Italy, awaits 2011 with a series of preview events: concerts, performances, debates and, on 20 March in piazza Castello, the creation of a large tricolour flag and the start of the countdown towards the 150th anniversary of national unity.
Anne Frank e la Shoa
The exhibition, on display at the Museo Diffuso della Resistenza di Torino tells the story of the persecution of the Jews through the story of Anne Frank and her family. It starts with the accounts from her diary, from the hiding place where they took refuge to escape persecution, to the experience of the concentration camp, until death.
Cavour e il suo tempo
Dedicated to the great Piedmontese statesman, during the course of 2010 the exhibition will visit various Comuni in the Provincia di Torino. The exhibition displays the environments and contexts in which Camillo Benso developed and operated. While showing the spirit, method and originality of his political actions.
Da Carracci a De Chirico
Some of the best masterpieces from the Croff of Ivrea collection can be admired at the Museo di Arti Decorative Pietro Accorsi until the 30th of May. This is an important testimony of the history of collecting between the 1930s and 1940s.
Da Cezanne a Mondrian
In Vercelli, in the exhibition space of the Arca, is on display the exhibition “Peggy e Solomon R. Guggenheim: the avant-garde of abstraction” with over 50 masterpieces. The works come from the New York collection, among which artists including Cezanne, Georges, Seurat, Braque, Matisse...
Gesù nella storia del cinema
The iconographic variety which has characterised the figure of Christ: photographs, leaflets, magazines, books, musical scores and albums. During the showing of the Shroud, the Museo Nazionale del Cinema di Torino offers an accurate selection from its collection and the archives of the Fondation Jérôme Seydoux-Pathé and the Cinémathèque Française.
Gesù. Il corpo, il volto nell’arte
At the Reggia di Venaria from April 1 to August 1, an exhibition accompanying the showing of the Shroud. 150 pieces of art and sculpture from museums, churches and collections from all over Europe will lead one through the links between the human body and divine identity in the cult of the sacred linen, running simultaneously to the showing of the Shroud in Torino.
Le ceramiche Lenci
Palazzo Madama, Museo Civico d'Arte Antica in Torino, presents an exhibition dedicated to the craftsmanship of Lenci, in particular to the ceramic production of small and large display sculptures created in Lenci’s Torino workshops between1927 and 1937.

Until the 23rd of March, the Museo Regionale di Scienze Naturali of Torino hosts the interesting exhibition by the naturalist photographer Frans Lanting, dedicated to the secrets of evolution.
Mezzo secolo di "Dolce Vita"
In the Museo Nazionale del Cinema di Torino, until 21 March, are exhibited 160 photographs paying homage to Fellini and his most famous masterpiece. The images of Arturo Zavattini and Marcello Geppetti, are for the most part little known in Italy as they were mainly published by foreign newspapers and magazines.
