Acqui in Palcoscenico
For 27 years the International Dance Festival “Acqui in Palcoscenico” has seen prestigious academic companies alternate on the stage of the municipal theatre and awards its Premio Acqui Danza (Acqui Danza Prixe) to the most brilliant artists on the international scene. From 4 July to 4 August under the artistic direction of Loredana Furno, performances with Italian, United States, Spanish and Argentinian dancers.

At the Reggia di Venaria from April 1 to August 1, an exhibition accompanying the showing of the Shroud. 150 pieces of art and sculpture from museums, churches and collections from all over Europe will lead one through the links between the human body and divine identity in the cult of the sacred linen, running simultaneously to the showing of the Shroud in Torino.

At Villa Ponti in Arona are exhibited over one hundred works by famous international artists, including the famous “Marilyn” paintings by Andy Warhol, and a collection of personal objects that explore the reality of an immortal legend of beauty, icon of the 1950s and ‘60s.

At the Filatoio di Caraglio, the strand opened in 2006 continues with the exhibition “Seta. Potere e glamour” (Silk. Power and glamour), a homage to the history of the seventeenth-century workshop - which today is the first centre of the Museo del Setificio Piemontese – which produced the most refined silks of the Regno Sabaudo. The rich wardrobe of a woman from the Torino bourgeoisie in the 1920s is on show.
