La Barca Sublime
The “Bucintoro del Re di Sardegna” (Bucentaur of the King of Sardinia), the last original eighteenth-century Venetian boat existing in the world, is on display at the Reggia di Venaria from 16 November 2012 to 31 December 2013. The “peota” was commissioned as an authentic “Reggia sull'acqua” by the Savoy Kings who availed of the brilliant direction of Filippo Juvarra.
