It is one of the preferred stages for the summer dance festivals in Piemonte and for 27 years has brought the most interesting international formations of contemporary and research dance to the beautiful spa town of Acqui. The International Dance Festival “Acqui in Palcoscenico” directed by Loredana Furno opened on 4 July with the Fondazione Accademia Nazionale di Danza di Roma and continues until 4 August: eight performances ranging from the emotional intimacy of the United States company Alonzo King Lines Ballet, to the Italo-Argentinians of the Kustracodan company with the national premier of the show “Mediterranean accordion y Tango Argentino”, sensuality of the tango and Mediterranean atmospheres with jazz influences.
