Bulloni e Farfalle

The exhibition “Bulloni e Farfalle – 150 anni di Ambiente” (Bolts and Butterflies – 150 years of Environment), housed at the Museo Regionale di Scienze Naturali (Regional Museum of Natural Science), was created to relate the most significant changes that nature has undergone down through the years with the parallel development of technologies. Images, photographs, illustrative panels and documentaries provide an important and expressive overview of the social, economic and cultural situation of our region. 5 historical moments in time are taken into consideration and starting with the Unity of Italy, which still sees Piemonte as a predominately agricultural region, they retrace the era of industrial transformation and the economic boom, right up to our times in which the exploitation of renewable energies becomes increasingly important with the diffusion of the concept of sustainable development.
