Torino 1706. Un assedio una battaglia

There are many initiatives organised by the city of Torino to commemorate the anniversary of the Liberation of the city from the French siege of 1706. Parades with historical costumes of the Savoy army, changing of the Guard, carousels, cannon shots, gunfights at the Giardini Reali (Royal Gardens), blessing of flags, solemn vespers and ceremonies at monuments that recall the sacrifice of the many Savoy soldiers and citizens who fell on the days when they successfully opposed the Franco-Spanish troops sent by the King of France Louis XIV.
