After the 2006 edition of “Seta. Potere e glamour”, a homage to the history of seventeenth century workshops, and the exhibition “Fantasie Guerriere” of 2008 which drew together the clothes-sculptures of the Capucci to the Samurai armours, glamour returns to being protagonist at the Filatoio di Caraglio with “Moda negli anni Venti. Il guardaroba di una signora torinese” (Fashion in the 1920s. A Torinese woman’s wardrobe). Clothes, lingerie and accessories – all on show together with figurines and photographic images taken from specialized magazines of the time – document the predominant tastes in the 1920s and 30s and allow us to retrace the variations of the new fashions and a new female image. A true and complete trousseau, refined, discreetly luxurious and up to date, where accessories bought in Paris, as was common at the time, complete the clothes made by the renowned dressmakers in Torino, all of undiscussed national prestige.
