The  reopens to the public with an extraordinary itinerary. The exhibition “Stupinigi tempo primo. Tesori ritrovati” (Stupinigi early times. Rediscovered treasures) illustrates the restoration initiatives of the Stupinigi complex, from the 1997 Unesco Heritage of Humanity to the other Savoy Residences, but closed to the public since 2006.

The itinerary starts from the Court of honour where the green parterres traced on the axes of the Rotte di Caccia (Hunting Courses) were restored.
The Mauritian history of the place is presented in the atrium. Continuing into the Scuderia juvarriana (Juvarrian Stable), with the Ladatte’s Deer, an original ornament from the dome, and, on the walls, the 12 wooden medallions with effigies taken from Savoy Genealogy. From here, into the Biblioteca alfieriana (Alfieri Library) with early furnishings, into the Galleria di Levante (East Gallery) with the Trophies by Collino, into the Sala degli Scudieri (Squires’ Room) with the Cacce di Corte (Hunts of Court) of Cignaroli. Entering then into the central Hall, frescoed by the Valeriani brothers on the theme of the Diana’s Stories, goddess of the hunt, with the splendid appliqués, fireguards and the monumental chandelier: fulcrum of the building, from which the entire architectural system of the region stems.
The visit concludes in the Appartamento di Levante (East Apartment), said to be of the Dukes of Chablais, according to a ceremonial itinerary that starts from the Atrium and from the Camera di Parata (Parade Room), through drawing rooms, bedrooms and studies, finishing in the Camera da Gioco (Games Room). All the rooms, completely restored with the splendid frescoed furnishings, with stuccoes, original tapestries in silk and painted paper, expose the very precious furniture and furnishings, the work of great cabinet-makers from Piemonte such as Piffetti and Bonzanigo.
