Stagione Teatro Stabile Torino 2011/2012

The capacity for diversification and the interdisciplinary nature of the artistic project of the Fondazione Teatro Stabile di Torino, evidenced by a programme played on differentiated poetics and genres, is well highlighted in the 2011/2012 season. The first part of its programme closes the festival Fare gli italiani (Making the Italians) with Italoamericana by Davide Livermore, which at the same time opens the festival of performances by Piemonte felix. Alongside name of undisputed talent – such as Gabriele Vacis and Valter Malosti, Nello Mascia, Eros Pagni, Paolo Poli, Elisabetta Pozzi, Franco Branciaroli, Luigi Lo Cascio, Massimo Popolizio, Alessandro Haber, Beppe Rosso and Marcido Marcidorjs, Marco Tullio Giordana, Giuseppe Battiston and Laura Curino – a new generation of actresses/authors comes to the fore: Argia Coppola, Olivia Manescalchi, Lorena Senestro. With 7 new productions that will make their debut in Torino in national premières, and 6 repeat performances that will enliven the stages of the principal Italian cities, the Centro Studi and Sistema Teatro Torino, the Teatro Stabile di Torino will reinforce its international vocation with Prospettiva and TorinoDanza, while catering for the tastes and expectations of an ever-increasingly large and demanding public.
