Luigi Serralunga tra Simbolismo e Liberty

Portrait painting, nude, hunt scenes and still life are the preferred subjects represented in the works of Luigi Serralunga, the Torino painter who lived between the end of the XIX and the beginning of the XX century to whom the exhibition mounted at Villa Giulia in Verbania from 30 May to 17 October is dedicated. The exhibition is composed of over eighty paintings from public and private collections and well represents an artistic story placed in the late-symbolist tradition, influenced by the beauty of the great season of nineteenth century figurative painting.
