Le ceramiche Lenci
An exhibition dedicated to the craftsmanship of Lenci, in particular to over 100 small and large display sculptures created in Lenci’s Torino workshops between1927 and 1937, alongside preparatory plaster casts, designs and sketches. Very fashionable objects, that corresponded perfectly with the bourgeois taste that had developed in the deco era, made original by the involvement of artists such as Sturani, Grande, Scavini, Tosalli, Chessa, Vacchetti, Jacopi, Beltrami, Formica who created personable and recognisable solutions, both innovative and updated in line with the latest Italian contemporary art and linked to tradition.
Thanks to their work, a display sculpture was created that had great success on the national and international market, supported by the presence of Torino craftsmanship in the most important exhibitions of that decade. The exhibition is accompanied by a series of lectures for closer examination.
