Leonardo. The genius, the legend
The exhibition shows one of the masterpieces of the Savoy collections: the Self-Portrait by Leonardo, a very famous sanguine drawing held by the Royal Library of Turin.
In addition to this work, known throughout the world for its artistic value and for the many meanings that have been attributed to it, other original works are displayed in a dramatic setting to depict the face of the Master at different moments in his life: portraits by his pupils, sculpture and painting by famous artists, through to the fascinating hypothesis of a portrait “hidden” in a page of the Codex on the Flight of Birds at the Royal Library of Turin.
